Chiropractors have been helping people for almost 130 years. My father Dr Joe Houlton began his practice in 1956. In the earlier days, people came to chiropractors for more than just back and neck pain. Through releasing tension and imbalance in the nervous system, he helped people with almost any condition. Hence growing up, my dad was the only doctor I ever saw. Chiropractic care, my mom’s great food ,playing and wrestling with my siblings and regular family prayer time was the foundation of my life and health care. I was taught “ health comes from above down, inside out”, and “the whole is always greater than the sum of the parts”. Chiropractic was always about releasing the body’s innate capacity for healing, regardless of the type of symptom.
